Jerome began as a booming mining town in the late 19th century, known for its abundant copper deposits. At its peak, Jerome was home to over 15,000 residents and was one of the largest towns in Arizona.

To get to Cottonwood Springs RV Resort in Cottonwood, AZ from the town's center, head northeast on AZ-89A N toward N Main St. Then, turn left onto E Cottonwood St. After about half a mile, turn right onto N 7th St, and you'll find the resort on your left.
